Nieto Senetiner
Situated in Carodilla, Lujan de Cuyo, Nieto Senetiner was originally a local partnership established in 1969. In 1998 the founders sold trhe winery to an Argentine-Canadian conglomerate the head of which Goyez Perez Compac decided to switch his interests from oil to wine.
With the help of Italian wine maker Alberto Antonini the winery is producing quality wines for both the domestic and International market. Santa Isabel is its most popular brand on Argentine shelves while the Cadus line is primed for the American and European markets.. This is a wine with typical New World deep fruit flavours, dark purple colours and a concentrated palate. A personal favourite is a dark blend of Cabernet, Malbec and Merlot called Nicanor. It tastes of smokey, toasted oak with ripe earthy undertones.
Other wines to look out for from Nieto Senetiner:
Nieto Senetiner Reserve (Malbec, Merlot, Bonarda)
Santa Isabel Export
Cadus (Malbec, Bonarda, Syrah, Cabernet).
