Your guide picks you up at around 8.30am to spend the day horse-back riding at Altos Potrerillos, (1 ½ hours drive from Mendoza) - close to El Salto. On arrival after a brief safety talk you leave following la Cañada Grande until el Divisadero de La Cortadera where you enjoy a magnificent view of the Cordón del Plata, el dique Potrerillos and the Precordillera. Here for have a rest and refreshments before returning to base for a delicious traditional Argentine Asado.

Private Tour

This horse-back ride takes place at a 7000 hectare Estancia at the end of the route to El Salto in Vallecitos, (part of the Pre-Cordillera mountain range). From there you follow the river bed on horse-back ascending to the camp at 3000m above sea level. Before arriving at the camp you take a small diversión to the east to ascend another river bed until you reach the 70m waterfall "El Salto". On arrival at camp you are welcomed by a traditional Argenitne “asado” (BBQ) complemented by salad and good wine. After lunch you enjoy some time next to the camp fire in the fresh air trying the famous “maté”. If you are feeling up to it you can then continue on horse-back to a spot where you have fantastic views of Del Valle de Potrerillos (Potrerillos Valley). Here you are likely to see Guanacos and Condors.
