Finca Ogawa is an
11 hectare farm that is located in the heart of Valle de Uco, Argentina's version of Napa Valley. It is 10-15 minutes from some of the most famous wineries in Mendoza province.
The agricultural philosophy of Finca Ogawa can be summarized in one word... diversification. They currently have three acres of Malbec vineyards, ten acres of walnuts, one acre with a combination apple trees, peach trees, apricot trees and fig trees.
This is an old Spanish "Chorizo" style home with thick adobe walls, high ceilings and traditional windows with dark, wooden shutters. Two bedroom and one bathroom sleeps four people comfortably. Covered verandas protect all outdoor living spaces and an arbor covered in grapevines creates patterns of dappled sunshine in the afternoon.
Services are simple and basic in the country. There is a completely equipped kitchen ready for you to mix and match the various local fresh ingredients or the owners can organize prepared meals for you. Daily house cleaning and room freshening is included in your stay at Casa de Barbara I. No internet yet, but Direct TV is available for those news and sports junkies. It's rustic, but quite comfortable.
