The Diamond Lagoon (Laguna del Diamante) is located at 3.250 meters above sea level in the Southern-most tip of the wine region of Uco Valley. It is surrounded mainly by volcanic mountains providing an ever-so picturesque and unique setting. The area was declared a natural reserve in 1994. The imposing Mt. Maipú (5323msl) is delicately reflected along the 7km-long lagoon. Access is during the summer months of January & February only.

 

Thoughout the day visitors can enjoy trekking, fishing or horseback riding all complimented by a traditional picnic and excellent Mendoza wines!
