Salentein
Salentein is a Dutch owned winery that also has important holdings in the Argentine fruit industry. This brand new concept winery comes complete with a "concept chapel" and exclusive posada for people who want to stay. The company has big plans in the area of wine tourism with a visitors centre recentlyt constructed adjacent to the winery that contains a restaurant and art gallery.
And what about the wine? Their Pr1mus Pinot Noir is probaly the best Pinot to be had in Argentina but thats not saying much as Pinot is an undeveloped varietal here. More worthy of note is there Salentein Estate Merlot and Malbec variety. El Portillo is their lower line and is popular in the home market.
